This wonderful and absolutely magical cabin is the quintessential essence of mountain vacation living from the entry-way bear carved into the log beam, the twig and bark shabby chic furniture, glorious view, hemlock deck railing, fire pit with log seats, stone fireplace, and many other features each as wonderful as the last.
This cabin has it all with two fireplaces - one gas and one wood burning; stunning view, pool table, hot tub, four bedrooms and three full baths that easily sleeps ten, full-service kitchen with counter and dining for eight, beautifully landscaped, and less than a mile to Hawksnest Snow Tubing.
Walk into Knob Hill Chalet and enter a warm and charming mountain cabin complete with a recreation room, wet bar, lounging area with gas fireplace, hemlock furniture and moose, bears, and deer accessories in abundance. Hours of fun await guests with the pool table, foosball table, video games, board games and 42" flat screen television. There is even a video library for evenings you wish to enjoy a movie together. This lower level also has a full bath, laundry room, antique mantels, beautiful high wood ceilings and wall pieces that will make you walk around this house just examining all the wonderful treasures to be found.
Completing the lower level is a bathroom and a bedroom. The bedroom will delight children as there is the bunkroom that sleeps 4 with a western and mountain motif complete with guitars and cowboy hats, and antique knickknacks that complete the theme.
As you walk up the steps the philosophy of this house is obvious as each hardwood step is hand painted with messages such as Dream, Hike, Have Fun, Enjoy, Relax.... This enters into a delightful great room with a new kitchen, dining room and living room combined which in itself is enchanting but must come after you have examined the stunning view of Grandfather Mountain Profile which is so close it seems to come into the room as a part of its essence. If you walk onto the deck it is even larger than life. Just imagine having dinner on the hemlock stick deck and contemplating that view on a startling beautiful day anytime of the year. There would be no better way to leave the cares and worries behind than to be overwhelmed with nature and beauty.
Three other charming bedrooms complete this house, each as wonderful as the first with its rustic accents and antiques. This house is a wonderful experience that we recommend highly.
