Boone, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock each

with specialty items, clothing and gifts. In
Blowing Rock, shoppers love visiting the Tanger
Shoppes on the Parkway, a one-stop shopping
experience with over 30 upscale brand name
outlet stores.
 For those
who enjoy theatre and the arts,
there are several theatre companies in
town, and the Blowing Rock Stage Company runs
various shows year round at the newly
constructed Hayes Center for the Performing
Arts. Downtown Boone is a nice spot to visit if
you are looking for art galleries, and it is home to
the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts at
Appalachian State University.
